  • Directorate of Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki

    DPEWE (Directorate of Primary Education of Western Thessaloniki), an integral part of the Greek Ministry of Education, and Religion Affairs, is one of the largest education organizations in Greece responsible for schools and teachers. It is in the Prefecture of Education of Central Macedonia and is responsible for 256 general education early childhood schools (4 -5 years of age), two schools for children with special needs, one school in a public hospital for children who need in-hospital treatment and 15 private schools. It has also overall responsibility for 174 general education primary schools (6 -12 years), four primary schools for children with special needs, four intercultural primary schools, one pilot school and two schools in public hospitals. The Directorate employs approximately 4.700 teachers. Around 45.000 children are currently enrolled in its schools. Its role is to co-ordinate, supplement, support and implement educational policies, and to lead initiatives to address issues and priorities.

    The Municipality of Kalamaria constitutes the second-largest in population municipality of the urban area of Thessaloniki. The Municipality is dedicated to ensuring that early child school within its municipal limits offer undivided education and care to all students adhering to modern educational methods.   • Cyprus Pedagogical Institute – Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, and Youth

    The Cyprus Pedagogical Institute was founded in 1972 by a decision of the Council of Ministers and started operating in 1973. Per a recent decision by the Republic of Cyprus’ Council of Ministers, it is the official department of the Ministry of Education and Culture for the professional development and empowerment of teachers. The CPI is dedicated to the design and implementation of continuous professional learning and development of teachers at all levels, the introduction of frameworks for teachers’ competencies and the promotion of horizontal issues of educational priority. Moreover, it is invested in improving the content and effectiveness of the education provided in Cyprus’ schools in accordance with the best European and International practices.

  • Municipality of Lousada

    The Municipality of Lousada is a local public administration in Portugal that designs and implements a wide array of initiatives and actions to elevate its citizens’ quality of life and ensure the provision of quality services. The Municipality has full management and oversight of educational policies and institutions within its municipal limits and is in charge for design of policies in early childhood, the management of teaching staff, the management of curricular enrichment activities, the social interventions, the provision of meals and the construction and maintenance of buildings. Through that capacity, the municipality supports and empowers schools and teachers to promote equal opportunities and avoid social and school exclusion, focusing also on the advancement of the profession of teachers. Staff of the Município de Lousada have been engaged in various actions, including research; developing pedagogic strategies for engaging teachers, educators, and students; working with bespoke media-rich learning content; supporting the development of the community and voluntary sector through appropriate use of learning technologies.

  • Inspectoratul Scolar Judetean Arges

    ISJ Arges, Arges County School Inspectorate, is the coordinating body of all entities of school education within Arges county and offers guidance and support to 6491 teachers working in the region. Its mission is to fulfil law requirements regarding education and ensure the provision of education of the highest standard to all citizens. As a decentralized public institution, Arges County School Inspectorate initiates and establishes partnerships with different social partners involved in education and training. It also promotes and implements projects and partnerships at local, regional, national, and international levels, according to its needs’ assessment. ISJ Arges provides counselling and guidance for all the education system actors: students, teachers, principals, representatives of Students’ Council, students in training, parents, representatives of other institutions involved in the education process.
